PGDA Monthly Call: Gamedevs United – Helping Ukraine

For this month’s PGDA call, we are talking about the war in Ukraine and its effect on the gamedev community there and here, as well as how we can help best.

Our very special guests this month are:

Olena “Elena” Lobova
Co-founder & CBDO at GDBAY, Founder at ACHIEVERS HUB
Having recently been displaced by war from her home for the second time, Olena has vowed to use her vast industry network to help the people of her country, Ukraine.

Aleksandra “Alex” JaroszIndiedev, Game Designer, Speaker, Psychologist & Ph.D. Fine Arts
From reproductive rights to humanitarian aid, Aleksandra likes to push back against overbearing governments. Having recently emigrated from Poland to Austria herself, she also has first hand experience with the Austrian welcome culture (or lack thereof).

We will hear Olena’s report from the region and discuss what we as individuals and the gamedev community can do to help the people of Ukraine. Let’s get the ideas flowing and make connections.

As always, you can ask your own questions as well!

This is a virtual meetup on Discord, for everyone in Austria to join and participate.

When: Tuesday March 22, 20:00-21:30
Where: Twitch & PGDA Discord – join the server
