PGDA at the University of Klagenfurt
Looking back at a successful „Press Start: Your Journey into Game Development“ Event in Klagenfurt!
In cooperation with the Game Studies and Engineering department of the University of Klagenfurt (AAU) we organised a half-day networking marathon filled with talks, insights and discussions! It was the first time for the PGDA to host an event of that size and the response was immense – the majority of the study programme took the opportunity to network with the Austrian game development community.
Special thanks to our industry experts who travelled from near and far to make this event possible:
- Stefan Srb – Creative Director Mipumi Games
- Martin Filipp – COO & Managing Director Mipumi Games
- Mateusz Gorecki – Game Director Rarebyte
- Rainer Angermann – CEO Rarebyte
- Michael Benda – CEO Zeppelin Studio
- Raffael Moser – Founder reignite games
- Sebastian Uitz – Founder Fire Totem Games
In addition to insightful industry talks by our experts, the event allowed students to pitch their projects and receive direct feedback and advice. We closed the event with the next instalment of the Mentoring Café and free-form networking between the developers and students. „Press Start: Your Journey into Game Development“ presents a significant step forward in including game development communities all across Austria together and acts as a blueprint for future PGDA networking events.
You can also find information on the event in the official news post from the AAU and our own announcement. We are looking forward to more game dev networking events all across Austria in the future!
